This week on Battle Bards, the bards kick it old-school in their taverns of choice, checking out the sweet music and fine wine that pours forth from these iconic locations. You can almost hear the crackling of the fire as these virtual poets strum their lutes... or can you?
Episode 9 show notes
Special thanks to Tesh for the Battle Bards logo!
Thanks a lot guys! we're glad everyone liked it, the mini-Reds included! ^^
I personally loved the UO pick, because of its late Medieval/early Renaissance feel. (Having an oboist in the house helps.) And yes, nowadays we'd associate that with a formal concert setting, but back then it would have been played after dinner or at a gathering.
Oh, and Syl, the mini-Reds liked the episode.
Actually, German "Spelunke" (and Polish "spelunka") is a word for a bar or pub of a less-than-perfect reputation.
Hi all,
I love this podcast, it's great to be introduced to more MMO music. In particular, one track really stood out to me this episode: the Prancing Pony track.
Why?
Because it sounds 150% Wild West if you listen to the podcast on 2x setting on an iPhone. I replayed it about 3 times and each time it was just as good. Do give it a try!
Keep up the great episodes!
